EIG talk series

Panel discussions such as the “Erlanger Interreligiösen Gespräche” (EIG) offer an opportunity to address the differences and similarities between the three monotheistic religions. The series is a cooperation project between BaFID and the City Library of Erlangen. The series continues with events in cooperation with the BIBELMUSEUM Bayern.

The series of events started with a panel discussion on “Good and Evil in Religion and Philosophy”. Additional topics were:

Following a break due to the coronavirus pandemic, the EIG lecture series resumed on 17 February 2021. The topic was: “The Qur’an: A Christian’s experiences with a challenging book.” The speaker: Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Karl-Josef Kuschel (Tübingen). As part of the lecture series “Bavarian Interreligious College” in the summer semester of 2021, the “Erlangen Interreligious Discussions” on the foundations of interreligious discourse took place (livestream).

 

Third edition of ‘Erlangen Interfaith Dialogues’
The third edition of the “Erlangen Interfaith Dialogues” (EIG for short), organised in cooperation with Erlangen City Library, focused on the foundations of interfaith discourse.
