Subject to the approval of a new project, the following position is to be filled at the Bavarian Research Centre for Interreligious Discourse (BaFID) within the Chair of Oriental Philology and Islamic Studies at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, starting on 01.06.2026. The contract is valid until 31.12.2027.
Research Assistant (m/f/d) for Social Media and Digital Formats
Pay grade E13 (TV-L), full-time (100%)
Your responsibilities
- Planning, creation and publication of content tailored to specific target audiences for various digital platforms
- Developing suitable formats (e.g. videos, short-form content, interactive posts, Reels, Stories) to convey complex content
- Strategic development of digital communication initiatives, taking into account platform-specific logic and algorithms
- Analysis of reach and engagement data to optimise the communication strategy, taking current social media trends into account
- Active community management and interaction with followers
- Preparation, support and monitoring of daily content production
Your profile
- A completed university degree in a relevant subject
- Experience in strategic and conceptual work in the field of digital communication and social media
- Experience in using common tools (Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Meta Business Suite, Meta Ads Manager, etc.) Ability to communicate complex content in a way that is tailored to the audience
- Analytical expertise in handling digital communication data
- Sensitivity to social, interfaith and discursive issues
