BaFID celebrated its opening with university management and ministers

The Bavarian Research Center for Interreligious Discourses (BaFID), located at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU), aims to explore and promote dialogue between religions. BaFID was officially opened in a ceremony in April 2021. The Bavarian Research Center for Interreligious Discourses, funded by the Free State of Bavaria, was opened in autumn 2020. The official opening ceremony was attended by FAU President Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger, FAU Chancellor Christian Zens, Interior and Integration Minister Joachim Herrmann and Science Minister Bernd Sibler. Also shown a Film about the research centre.

The celebratory lecture was given by Prof. Dr. Frederek Musall (Heidelberg). Greetings were offered by Prof. Dr. Asma Afsaruddin (Bloomington), Prof. Dr. Barbara Schellhammer (München) and Dr. Elisabeth Preuß (Erlangen). The event can be found here
